# nth_value

Devuelve el primer valor no NULL evaluado en la enésima fila (offset) de su marco ordenado.

**Sintaxis**

```sql theme={null}
nth_value (x, offset)
  OVER ([[PARTITION BY grouping_column] [ORDER BY sorting_column] 
        [ROWS or RANGE expression_to_bound_rows_withing_the_group]] | [window_name])
FROM table_name
WINDOW window_name as ([[PARTITION BY grouping_column] [ORDER BY sorting_column])
```

**Parámetros**

* `x` — Nombre de la columna.
* `offset` — enésima fila con la que se compara la fila actual.

**Valor devuelto**

* El primer valor no `NULL` evaluado con respecto a la enésima fila (`offset`) dentro de su marco ordenado.

**Ejemplo**

En este ejemplo, la función `nth-value` se utiliza para encontrar el tercer salario más alto en un conjunto ficticio de salarios de futbolistas de la Premier League.
